Our certified service staff repairs over 3500 desktops, laptops and printers of all makes and models every year.

Cardinal Computer lets you choose a maximum labor charge - so repairs won't get out of control.

Most computers are diagnosed and many are repaired within our first hour of labor. This "bench charge" of 49.95 commonly includes the following services (as they apply):

Run diagnostics for common hardware problems (harddrive, memory, processor, motherboard, optical drives, etc.)
Scan the system for viruses against the latest threats and remove those threats as needed.
Scan the system for spyware and malware which slows the system down and threatens your security.
Replace out-of-date virus and spyware protection software with no-charge software to continue your protection
Check the integrity and performance of your operating system, files, and software
Visually inspect components (fans, surfaces, components, etc.) for wear, excess dust or corrosion and clean as necessary.

If a repair will require parts or exceed the maximum you chose, we will prepare a proper estimate for repair and contact you before proceeding to ensure the best path for you.

Normal turnaround for systems brought to us for service is 2-3 business days.

Onsite Service

In certain situations, it is not practical or preferred to bring the problem to our shop. In these cases, we offer onsite service by having a technician come to your office or home.

Emergency Service

Sometimes, your computer just can't wait. Whether it is for business use, bill-paying, or if that data is extremely valuable or time-sensitive.

Cardinal Computer offers several services to meet your needs in these areas.

Expedited Service

Expedited Service is available for an additional charge of 49.95 (in addition to the bench or other applicable charges).

This option allows a computer to recieve faster service by pushing it to the next available technician (usually within 4 business hours). Service and repair rates are billed at standard rates.

Data Recovery Service

Cardinal Computer has data recovery services available for every type of situation.

Simple data recovery starts at 49.95 and can range up to 149.85 for home computers or laptops. This type of recovery might include:

Bad sectors on a harddrive
Deleted files
Systematic destruction of data (format, fdisk, reinstalled operating system, restored system)

For more complex data recovery we are a partner with the leader in data recovery services, Ontrack Data Recovery, Inc.

Complex data recovery runs from 175.00 and up for the evaluation and from 500.00 and up for the actual recovery, depending on several factors.

This type of recovery might include:

Server or RAID drive recovery
Physically damaged drives (fire, smoke, impact, etc.)
Crashed or non-running storage units (compact flash, external or internal harddrives, etc.)
